One of the new spring rituals in Seattle is the annual test of the vintage hydroplanes. This year, the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum boats ran with the Unlimited Lights as part of the latters 'Spring Training' day. It made for a truly unique event. One of the perks of having both organizations present was that more than one boat could run at once. This allowed the Thriftway and the Bardahl to run at the same time, to the thrill of the gathered spectator. It also allowed for a truly unique spectacle, as the tiny GEICO Presents Namron Racing Team 'Lighter than Light' boat passed the mighty Miss Bardahl on the backstretch during a run. That was definetly not something you would see every day.
